An Updated Classic: Nike Air Max 1 Ultra Flyknit

Another year and another classic Nike sneaker gets an innovative upgrade. The Nike Air Max 1 is legendary in the sneaker world. It debuted back in 1987 and changed the game with its visible air max unit that provided cushioning unlike any other. Through the years, we’ve seen this silhouette get updates to the sole, upper, and materials that make each one better than the last. The sneaker has gotten a Lunarlon sole, premium tape upper, Ultra Moire construction and an engineered mesh version.

This newest version takes Nike’s classic sneaker and decks it out with the latest and greatest technology. Since Flyknit debuted in February 2012, we’ve seen the breathable technology get added to some of Nike’s most popular sneakers. This version keeps the same OG style we’re used to in the Air Max 1, but the upper is fully woven with a loose knit pattern at the toe and tongue for breathability, and a tighter construction at the heel to provide support and comfort. There’s no question that this classic will be a favorite for sneakerheads the rest of summer so you’ll want to waste no time grabbing your pair.
