Sticking to the trendy look of chunky silhouettes, PUMA dropped its Thunder Spectra sneaker to the world a few weeks ago, and if you missed out you now have another opportunity to cop. Inspired by 90’s running designs and Alexander McQueen collaborations, the Thunder Spectra fuses sport and fashion, given additional structure and support by its molded TPU system. The PUMA form-stripe runs parallel along the lateral sides of the shoe whilst the medial sides portray more a fashion-like aesthetic. Adorned in premium mesh and nubuck, this silhouette dons a touch of luxe that is put over the top by the stark, contrasting colors you find present on this particular iteration. With this next drop, PUMA is bringing two new fresh colorways that you won’t want to miss. These next pairs that feature colorful new colorways are coming in a Black, Grey, and Orange and a Black, Grey, Blue, and Red.

Grab your pairs of the PUMA Thunder Electric on June 21st at Finishline.com.

Bringing a #WeAreMore story to life with Puma Defy was one to remember. With three professional dancers in one room, the energy was at an all time high and the girls we’re showing off the latest from Puma with ease.

Jade Chynoweth, Nicole Kirkland and Cache Melvin were the trio on set that really brought the #WeAreMore x Puma Defy story to life. All three ladies spoke to the dance community as being a place where they can be themselves and truly feel confident in their own skin. Doesn’t hurt that sneakers are their go-to footwear and personal style is a large part of their self expression.

Jade Chynoweth is a professional dancer and actress. Sporty girl at heart and feels the most confident when she is truly herself and not trying to be anything else. Jade has an attitude that you want to be around, stating “Dance for me is a way of life. It’s a passion of mine, not a job. I like to dance like a female, but I also like to show that I can hit as hard as the guys can.” Jade brought the heat in her Puma Defy sneakers showing them off in two different outfits with shorts. One a little more street than the other, but both we’re perfection when paired with her dance moves, style and spirit.

Dancer, teacher and choreographer, Nicole Kirkland was killin’ the game in the Puma Defy trainer. This girl is all about dance 24/7. Musically inspired, Nicole is a professional when communicating her feelings through dance and movement. “I’ve always known that I was capable of doing it, but now that I’m actually living it, it’s amazing.” Nicole definitely holds her own when it comes to her fashion choices. Pairing the Puma Defy with a crop top and leggings and bringing the street to the picture with boyfriend jeans, fish net tights and crop top, the looks were ????.

Professional dancer, Cache Melvin said one of our favorite things when we were on set. “Chase the dream not the competition.” Short and sweet but effortlessly resonating with the #WeAreMore community. Even when no one knows her story, Cache tries to tell it through her dance. She loves to hit moves hard and is motivated by the fear of being average. “I’m like that pretty tom girl, if I do the loose fitting top, I need tight bottoms or the baggy jeans.” That swagger is exactly what Cache brought to set and it was 100% vibes all day in the Puma Defy trainer.

Last week, Selena Gomez came through for PUMA and hosted a super fun night around the latest Defy trainer. Although the sneaker releases 5/31, PUMA put on this VIP event that defied all aspects of a modern city.

Paramount Studio turned their lot into all things #DEFYcity, featuring a laundry mat, ballon filled gym with dancers choreographing to Selena’s “Back To You”, a bodega with candy, 3D chalk mural and all kinds of fun engaging moments that guests could share on their social media channels.

Selena was seen walking the grounds and having photo-ops at all the cool pop-up locations in her Defy kicks. For everyone who attended, they were lucky to get a pair of the trainer before releasing. This sneaker has the chunky, dad shoe appeal that supports the latest fashion trend, but also goes beyond style because of the fully supportive side-to-side design and PROFOAM cushioning.

It’s easy to see that PUMA Defy can be worn from the gym to the streets and that’s why we love them! Get your pair 5/31 at finishline.com and check out @finishlinewomen for more behind the scenes of the PUMA Defy City event.

Style is everything. From the clothes you wear, to the shoes on your feet, and even the haircut you rock; your style is everything. Growing up in New York style was your identity. And now living in Los Angeles my style is my ticket. I am a professional dancer currently trying to fulfill my childhood dreams of becoming one of the chosen few to make it in the dance industry. My only ticket is my individuality; my style.

Pursuing your dreams is always hard to do. There are a lot of no’s you will hear before your big break. And the only way to survive those hard times is to believe in yourself. To believe in yourself you have to know who you are.I know who i am. And my style is definitely shows that. I shaved the side of my head about three years ago, and it was the best decision I ever made. It represents who I am. It boosted my confidence to show the world who I was. That is the reason why my career saw a positive impact.

Since then I’ve worked for major artists like Nicki Minaj, Justin Bieber, Cardi B, Jennifer Lopez, just to name a few. And I just got off the Pepsi Halftime Super Bowl 52 stage with Justin Timberlake. Dreams coming true! None of those amazing opportunities could have happened without confidence in myself. The best way to present that confidence is in my appearance; my style.

If I can take an outfit and put my personal twist on it, then I’m happy! Like the Fenty University Slide Sandals are such a comfy shoe. Something most would wear around to lounge or run errands. However, because the color is so bold I love to wear it as a piece, my pop of color for a day when I’m feeling courageous.

As a dancer we need clothing items that are versatile. The Puma En Pointe Bodysuit is something that I find a new way to where everyday. When I’m feeling a little sexy and want to show that in my style, I can wear the bodysuit with cute bottoms and show off all my curves. But then i can take off those bottoms and go use the bodysuit as attire for a workout. For me a typical workout is Dance. I can wear the bodysuit in certain dance classes like ballet or contemporary training. I also love to find ways to workout outside of Dance. And living in LA you can never go wrong with a good swim. The En Pointe Bodysuit is the cutest bathing suit!

Puma is one of my favorite brands because of their integrity to fashion and functionality. Their shoes are cute but comfortable. I’m never afraid to take them from the stage to the street. And with the lifestyle I live, taking an outfit from a rehearsal or a performance to a night out or a cute date, is exactly what I need. An easy way to show the world who I am. Whether it be a casting director giving me a Dance job or a stranger passing me on the street, I want to represent myself in the best way always. Represent my style!
