Home / NBA Sneaker Signings

Kyrie Irving has made quite the impact in Boston over the last five months that he’s been there. What better way to honor his new home than with a special colorway on his fourth signature sneaker. Paying tribute to the new city that Kyrie calls home, this sneaker utilizes a Boston Celtics color scheme with a green outsole and gold detailing around its midfoot Swoosh. A woodgrain hit is wrapped around the upper that could pay homage to the illustrious parquet floor that has become famous at the Celtic’s TD Garden. KD and LeBron have already dropped their pairs that honor the cities they play in, and now Kyrie Irving joins the group.

With everyone already hyped about the potential face-off of Golden State and Cleveland for the fourth time in the NBA Finals, it was awesome to see Team Swoosh lead things off not only with their jerseys, but introducing the new Statement Jerseys that will be an alternative road color way for most teams was a cool look at how Nike’s style will impact the league.

Nike brought out 32 of its top players and introduced the new NikeConnect technology as well as the new styles and colors. When fans purchase their favorite players jerseys, the new technology will allow them to unlock exclusive content for their favorite teams. Using the app and a new NBA jersey, fans will need to locate the NFC chip under the jock tag which will then automatically launch the experience on their smartphones, giving them more access to the brand and its athletes than ever before.
