Air Jordan XXXI ‘Shattered Backboard”
The Air Jordan XXX1 made its splash on the scene earlier this summer during the summer games on Jimmy Butler, a JB athlete. Once sneakerheads and basketball players alike got their eyes on the sneaker and saw how it performed on court, they had to get their hands on them. Jordan Brand is no stranger to tying in a colorway that has a back-story behind it and that is the case with this one. As you may remember, we first saw the ‘Shattered Backboard’ colorway on an Air Jordan Retro 1 back in 2015 that paid tribute to the time MJ broke the backboard in an international game.
This Jordan XXX1 is decked out in a black, starfish orange and silver colorway that has hints of white woven throughout the upper. If you’re looking for the perfect Halloween shoe then this could be it. JB didn’t skimp on the details on these, as you will notice they added ‘Shattered Backboard’ graphics on the inner tongues of the shoe. Unlike other XXX1’s that have released with icy clear soles, these will feature a translucent rubber gum sole that blends well with the upper.
