Air Jordan 1 Retro ’97

Ever since the Air Jordan 1 first released in 1985, it has been a favorite among sneaker enthusiasts as well as the general public. It’s one of the few sneaker designs that have withstood the tests of time, and thanks to the classic mid 80’s styling it probably will be around for many years to come. Not too long ago, we showed you the Air Jordan 1 Retro ’97 featuring a predominately red color scheme, and very soon an all new colorway will be dropping on

This new colorway of the Air Jordan 1 Retro ’97 features the classic Chicago Bulls Black/Red color scheme that’s most favorited by Jordan heads. The entire upper is dressed in a very supple Black pebbled leather, and White Jumpman logos are located on the heel as well as the tongue. A White midsole sits between the Black upper and the Gym Red outsole, giving the shoes a very similar look to the “Playoff” Air Jordan 13’s from which this particular AJ 1 ’97 drew its inspiration.

Same as in the other colorways of the Air Jordan Retro 1 ’97, the Black/White/Gym Red versions have the perforations on the side panels as well as the hologram Flight logo, both of which are design aspects taken from the Air Jordan 13. The shoe releases on March 3rd, so mark your calendars and head over to to scoop up your pair.
