adidas Ultra Boost Goes Uncaged
If you thought the adidas Ultra Boost couldn’t get any better, prepare yourself for another level of comfort. Since the Ultra Boost hit the streets, sneakerheads turned into customizers and started to cut off the protective cage overlay to give the sneaker a different look. Solebox and Hypebeast had their own collaborations with adidas that had the cage removed, but now we are getting a whole new style that gives you a performance feel and casual look.
You may be wondering why adidas would release the same shoe without the cage if people can do it themselves, but they have actually made some changes to the form of the shoe. They have scrapped the padded collar and changed it to a sock style collar that forms to your foot.
Since adidas removed the customary lace caging system, the shoe manages to acquire a brand new look and feel that we can expect people to fall in love with. You’ll notice that the shoe has a cleaner aesthetic with the PrimeKnit upper being a more focal point now that there is nothing covering it. With the Ultra Boost being dubbed the most comfortable shoe ever, can we expect the uncaged version to take the title? Only time will tell, but you won’t want to sleep on these.
