It’s Tebow Time! Tebow had just come off of a phenomenal season in Gainesville, but the consensus was that he wasn’t first round material. He was arguably one of the best college quarterbacks of all time, but the step from college to the pros is not a small one. Some pros the NFL scouts gave him were, “Is a highly-competitive player” and “Is a winning football player”. But some negatives attached to his combine grade were; “…really struggles with his accuracy” and “…struggled reading defenses, especially those with NFL concepts, in college.”

The Broncos needed a quarterback to fit their style of play and most believe Tebow was a 3rd round pick at the earliest. That didn’t stop the Broncos GM, John Elway and then head coach, Josh McDaniels who used their first round, 22nd overall pick on WR, Demaryius Thomas, to trade their 2nd, 3rd and 4th round pick to trade up to number 25 to select Tim Tebow. Tebow has a memorable playoff win against the Pittsburgh Steelers, but besides that has bounced around a few teams and is now commentating on the SEC network.
